About me

Hi!

I’m Adam from Wrocław in Poland and this is the portfolio page. I’ll put here various things I've worked on. It won't be focused on one specific field, though it will be mostly related to areas where code, visuals, music or audio intersect.

I'm a software developer with interest in audio-visual creations, up until now mainly focused on programming computer games (I did that professionally for 8 years). This portfolio will highlight some of the games and various smaller audio-visual projects I did in collaboration with other people or on my own.

Short story:
When I was at school I encountered Macromedia Flash 5. I was tinkering with it, trying bits of code, bits of animations, trying to make some simple games with it. It was a really interesting program, I could do animated or interactive things with it. That was my introduction to programming and audio-visual world. In the meantime, I started to learn the piano. Mixture of these things was becoming a core inspiration - in most things I’ve tried over the next years the ‘audio/visual output’ and the 'technical' side of it were always important elements.

I was figuring out if I could combine the two areas - programming and music. I went to an university to become an audio engineer. It wasn't exactly it, I’ve tried a couple of different things such as: electronics, microcontroller programming, audio processing using DSPs and eventually I ended up programming computer games as a profession.

Within these fields I’ve always mostly enjoyed experimentation. Especially related to producing sound or visuals with some made up methods: programming sound synthesizers, programs that render an image, realtime visuals reactive to the music, and similar. On this page you can see a selection of such projects combined in a single place.
